Background

Matthew Novak provides counsel on ESG communications and strategy and climate risk reporting. He leads the climate risk team and has an extensive background in ESG ratings, proxy advisory, CDP, TCFD, greenhouse gas inventorying, and EcoVadis.

Previously, Matthew worked at Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) with the ESG corporate rating team and the Specialty Research proxy advisory group. He has a B.S. in Coastal Environmental Science from Louisiana State University, where he researched coastal wetland restoration and led several social justice organizations.
