A leading fracking company was quickly expanding through multiple acquisitions and required a strategy to streamline operations, facilitating the seamless integration of additional entities into their Dynamics NAV ERP platform. With the rapid growth, also came multiple views on how future state business and system process should be managed and executed. The existing business processes would not support the new organization and the client needed help to determine the best fit process for the business and their current systems and to then execute these changes across the organization.

Riveron was engaged to analyze existing business processes with a focus on manufacturing and procurement in order to gain efficiencies through better use of the system and better alignment of the system to their business processes.

Our team:

  • Documented existing business processes highlighting the areas where system or process could be optimized
  • Worked with the client to finalize and document future state business processes for manufacturing and procurement activities
  • Executed system configuration, setup of additional third-party products, and developed customizations where required to support future state business processes
  • Trained the client on the future state business process and executed the cutover into production

Results

The optimization of the current ERP platform has provided significant advantages to the client in managing their business operations. Previously, the client relied on an external purchase request process, primarily handled through email. However, with the updated system, this procedure has been seamlessly integrated, facilitating formal requisitions directly within the system. This integration has further automated the creation of purchase orders derived from these requisitions. Beyond this, the replenishment process has been significantly streamlined, allowing the client to harness the full potential of the MRP process, especially in relation to raw materials and production. To further enhance operations and ensure real-time tracking and management, mobile warehouse devices have been deployed, offering unprecedented support for all operational facets.
