Background
With over 30 years of experience, Managing Director Mark Thorson has led complex transformations and turnarounds in finance, operations, accounting and treasury. He has served as chief financial officer (CFO), chief restructuring officer (CRO), chief accounting officer (CAO), senior vice president of customer service, senior vice president of finance, corporate controller, and treasurer.
Mark’s deep experience and knowhow comes from working on post-merger integration, strategic planning, cost control, liquidity management, and organizational development. His notable engagements include serving as CFO for a global pigment manufacturing company with liquidity challenges and developing strategic direction and tactical plan to maximize return for a private equity investment. He also has deep experience in the manufacturing, real estate, logistics and consumer products industries.
Previously, Mark was CFO of a logistics company, directing a private equity led roll up of four oil and gas servicing companies and maximizing back-office synergies, efficiencies, and cost savings. As the CFO of a power generation company, he designed and established the complete back-office platform.
