Background
Managing Director Jason Johnston brings nearly 15 years of experience in public accounting to Riveron’s Accounting Advisory practice. He assists companies with unique accounting transactions, including business acquisitions, carve-out divestitures, and initial public offerings. Jason has helped clients with complex finance and accounting operational and technical accounting projects.
Jason has led large teams through client initiatives, including month-end close acceleration, interim management, financial statement restatements, internal control enhancement, and overall process improvements. He has significant experience with public and private companies across the technology, healthcare, transportation, aviation, energy, higher education, and manufacturing industries.
His notable experience includes helping clients going through the IPO process with S-1 filings, increasing private equity visibility in the performance of their portfolio companies by reducing month-end close and improving KPIs, and helping clients with audits of financial statements and restatements of prior period financials.
Prior to Riveron, Jason worked in a Big Four assurance practice.
