National business advisory firm Riveron has appointed a new CEO to take the reins, succeeding the founder of the company and becoming the second chief executive in its history.
“I’ve been here before. I know this playbook of all the things that you need to think about when you’re going to take your organization to the next level.”
Julie Howard will lead the firm, which specializes in accounting, finance, technology and operations advisory services. About a month into the job, she’s still in “question mode,” working on learning the ins and outs of Riveron. She also said that she’s very growth-oriented, and wants to expand Riveron’s presence in other markets.
She most recently served for nearly a decade as chairman and CEO of global Navigant Consulting, which was publicly traded until it was acquired in 2019. Howard said Riveron is in a similar situation to where Navigant was: growing quickly and acquiring other firms across a combination of businesses and industries. She went through a similar evaluation process when she took the helm there.
“I’ve been here before. I know this playbook of all the things that you need to think about when you’re going to take your organization to the next level,” Howard said. “I thought this could be a really interesting opportunity to use my skills and expertise to help this organization step up to another level of performance.”
