Rick Haughey has over 30 years of hands-on experience advising and assisting shareholders, owners, companies, secured and unsecured creditors and other stakeholders with a wide variety of restructuring and strategic issues. He has led small to large teams focused on growth, cash flow management, profit optimization, business rationalizations, acquisitions, divestitures and carve-outs, transaction support, litigation and fraud investigations. In addition, Rick has served as an Interim Chief Executive Officer for a regional fast casual restaurant concept, Chief Operating Officer of a privately held QSR franchisee, Acting Chief Restructuring Officer of a multi-unit restaurant operator, VP of Finance for an insurance holding company through a successful Ch. 11 process and has testified as an expert witness in Bankruptcy Court. Rick has also worked in private industry on multiple occasions in areas of accounting, finance and cash flow management and has owned and led several multi-unit businesses.

Prior to joining the firm, Rick was a Principal in the restructuring practices of two international accounting and consulting firms, a SMD for an international restructuring firm and an MD at a boutique investment banking firm who specializes in restaurant and multi-unit businesses. His experience and expertise includes company business plan viability, in-depth analysis of short and long-term cash flow management and forecasting, plans of reorganization, debt and equity financing and other restructuring and strategic issues.

Rick has decades of experience working with companies in the retail, hospitality and multi-unit industries who focus on customer service. He has served a variety of sponsors, owners, lenders, and other stakeholders in various formats including owner/operators, franchisors, franchisees, and licensees. His prior assignments included large concepts (e.g. thousands of units) all the way to local and/or regional brands who are seeking to execute strategic changes, internal and external growth initiatives or turnaround plans. Through his work on a multi-unit, regional theater operator he received the Large Company Transaction of the Year from the National Turnaround Management Association as one of three senior leaders on the engagement.
