As a senior managing director at Conway MacKenzie, Kenneth is responsible for leadership of the Cleveland office, our Private Fund Services practice, and is a senior member of the Retail and Consumer Products industry vertical.

In our Private Fund Services practice, we are routinely called upon to assist with the resolution of some of the most sensitive and complex matters involving private capital funds.

Background

Kenneth has more than 20 years of experience in private equity, financial and operational restructuring, merger and acquisition advisory services, and the management of performing and underperforming companies. As the leader of the firm’s Private Fund Services practice, he oversees the deployment of portfolio management and other advisory services to private capital fund stakeholders to help maximize the value of investments during periods of fund-level transition, recapitalization, restructuring, or distress. As a restructuring advisor, Ken has represented the interests of debtor and creditor constituencies in out-of-court restructurings and formal bankruptcy settings in a variety of industries, including retail, consumer products, distribution, automotive, manufacturing, healthcare, telecommunications, and technology. He has also served on numerous corporate boards and in various executive management roles for performing and underperforming companies, including as chief executive officer, chief financial officer, chief restructuring officer, corporate controller, and treasurer across a variety of industries and situations.

Prior to rejoining Conway MacKenzie, Ken was chief financial officer of Spiegel Brands, a direct marketer of women’s apparel with two iconic brands, where he played a critical role in the execution of a comprehensive financial and operational restructuring of the business. Before that, he was director of underwriting at a privately held distressed principal investment firm. Previously, Ken was a manager in the transaction services practice of PwC and he began his career in the audit practice at Deloitte.
